Falcons Place Devonta Freeman In Concussion Protocol

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn stated that running back Devonta Freeman will be held out this week after being placed in the concussion protocol, according to ESPn’s Vaughn McClure.

Quinn made the announcement on Monday.

Freeman had a solid season for Atlanta last year rushing for  1,079 yards and providing fantasy owners with a lot of production en route to a Super Bowl appearance.

While this shouldn’t and isn’t expected to keep Freeman out long-term, it certainly demands some monitoring by fantasy owners moving into the 2017 season.

Depth at running back is key.
