Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler looked strong in his preseason debut, and Dolphins debut, on Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens.

While the stats won’t show it, Cutler went 3 for 6 for 24 yards, watching his comfort in the offense and strong arm tells the tale.

Cutler was sharp under pressure and operated with precision in Adam Gase’ offensive system.

Cuter also showed some chemistry with wide receiver DeVante Parker whom he referred to a faster version of former Chicago Bears teammate Alshon Jeffery, per Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.

Miami also has weapons such as Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills, Julius Thomas and running back Jay Ajayi for Cutler to utilize.

The concern with the Dolphins is their offensive line that showed signs of struggle last night and has been an issue for the team for the past few seasons.

Miami’s lack of depth should raise concern for anyone considering Cutler, but his understanding of Gase’s offense, his experience and quick release should justify selecting him in the mid-round of your draft.

The potential breakout season of DeVante Parker, who looks like a completely different player, should also factor into your decision to draft Cutler.
