Panthers’ Greg Olsen Not Expected To Play, Christian McCaffrey To Play

The Carolina Panthers have a bit of an up-and-down Sunday heading into their Week 13 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

In what should be another barn-burner between the two NFC division rivals, Carolina may be without tight end Greg Olsen, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The Panthers are just being “cautious”, according to Rapoport but he notes that this is a critical game for the Panthers to be without Olsen.

It had been reported that Olsen was going for a second opinion on his foot, so this isn’t an indication that things have gone well regarding Olsen’s injury.

On a positive note, Carolina will have running back Christian McCaffrey available for their Week 13 tilt.

McCaffrey is questionable due to a shoulder injury that limited him at practice throughout the week, but is expected to play.

Fantasy owners may want to keep Olsen on the bench and keep an eye on McCaffrey who, if truly good to go, could have a monster game against the Saints.
